THE CHALLENGE

To build from scratch, on a tight timeline, the first edition of a summit able to bring together research on elementary particles, the precision manufacturing industry of the Alto Vicentino area, and institutions at local, national and European level.

The starting point was concrete: AlcaSpace’s contribution to the international AMS-02 project aboard the International Space Station. The goal was to turn it into a broader story, one capable of positioning the region as an emerging ecosystem in the space economy and of actively involving leading scientific and industrial partners — INFN, CERN, NASA, MIT.

Being a first edition, every logistical aspect had to be invented with no precedent to build on, within a particularly compressed organizational timeline.

THE SOLUTION

We supported the project as Technical Partner, in a role that covered the entire event value chain: from communication to on-the-day direction.

  • Project management of the program and of the event day, structured into a morning outreach session, a company site visit, B2B networking and an evening main event
  • Management of relations with over 20 speakers, including researchers, representatives of INFN, CERN, NASA and MIT, an astronaut, a Nobel Laureate in Physics, a Member of the European Parliament and entrepreneurs from the space supply chain
  • Coordination of suppliers and logistics at the Teatro Civico venue, from staging to space management
  • Press office, media relations and event communication, with activities targeting both the general public and the scientific-industrial community

THE RESULTS

  • Over 500 attendees at the morning session, with a sold-out Teatro Civico for the evening main event
  • Local and national press coverage, with cross-sector pickup in the space economy field, amplified by the direct involvement of CERN and NASA
  • A first edition successfully delivered on schedule, providing a solid foundation for developing the format in future editions
